1980s Aseret Silk Top

Cream silk blouse from Aseret with a tiny geometric print and pleated detailing. Aseret, “Teresa” spelled backward, was an upscale career-wear and silk-blouse label associated with the 1980s and early 1990s, sold through department stores and fine women's boutiques.

The blouse is 100% silk and made in Hong Kong. Hong Kong's late-20th-century silk industry was known for precise printing and durable crepe de chine, giving pieces like this a substantial drape and a soft matte luster.

Graphic silk blouses became a real part of the late-1980s professional uniform. Worn under structured blazers, they gave women room for color, pattern, softness, and personality inside workplaces that were still visually conservative.
