Black sleeveless Ann Taylor top with a 100% silk shell and polyester lining. Ann Taylor was founded in New Haven in 1954 by Richard Liebeskind. The name came from a best-selling dress style, not from a person, and the brand grew into a major American source for professional womenswear.

Silk gives this piece natural breathability, temperature regulation, and fluid drape while keeping the surface polished. The lining adds durability and lets the silk move cleanly over the body.

Ann Taylor rose alongside the major expansion of women into white-collar work. Its career clothes helped establish a professional wardrobe designed specifically for women, offering authority and polish without simply copying masculine suiting.
